Privacy Policy

What we collect

We collect your email address for authentication and usage logs (which AI models you use and how many tokens are consumed). We do not store the content of your conversations with Cove.

How we use your data

Your data is used to provide the Satcove service: authenticating you, routing your requests to AI providers, and displaying your usage analytics. We do not sell your data to third parties.

URL analysis and file uploads

When you paste a URL in the chat, Satcove may fetch the public content of that page to provide analysis. This content is processed in real-time and not stored permanently. When you upload a file (PDF, CSV, or text), the content is parsed locally in your browser and sent to AI providers for analysis. We do not store uploaded files on our servers.

Your prompts are sent to AI providers for inference only. No AI provider uses your data for training. Privacy Shield automatically strips personal information (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses) from your messages before they reach AI providers.

Data controller & jurisdiction

Satcove is operated by Abyssal Group LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. Although we are a US entity, we voluntarily comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users located in the European Economic Area, as our service is available to EU residents (Art. 3.2 GDPR). We also comply with applicable US privacy laws.

International data transfers

Satcove is operated from the United States. Your data is primarily stored in Supabase (EU — Frankfurt). When you send a message, your prompt is forwarded to AI providers, most of which are US-based. We minimize the personal data sent through our Privacy Shield anonymization layer, which strips identifiers before transmission. Transfers to US-based providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable.

Your rights (GDPR)

• Access — Export all your data via Settings → Export my data
• Rectification — Update your profile in Settings
• Erasure — Delete your account in Settings (immediate, irreversible)
• Portability — Download your data as JSON via Settings → Export my data
• Objection — Disable analytics in Settings → "Help improve Satcove"
• Restriction — Contact us to restrict processing

To exercise any right, use the in-app settings or contact us. We respond within 30 days.

Health, legal & financial data

Satcove is not a medical device, legal advisor, or financial advisor. AI responses are informational only and should not replace professional advice. We do not store health data — all medical queries are processed in real-time and not retained. Privacy Shield automatically detects and anonymizes sensitive health information before it reaches AI providers.

Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Transaction and usage logs are retained for 12 months. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via Settings.
