Embed · Free for everyone
Let your readers verify any claim with 6 AIs directly on your page. Satcove pays the API costs. Your readers get 3 free verifications per day. You get an authoritative fact-checking tool baked into your content — without any backend.
One line of code
Copy-paste in HTML. Zero config.
Free for readers
3 verifications/day per visitor.
No JS framework
Works on WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Notion.
Paste this in your HTML where you want the verifier to appear:
<script src="https://satcove.com/embed.js"
data-tool="fact-checker"></script>That's it. The widget appears in place of the script tag. Free for your readers, attributable to Satcove.
For articles where you want the embed to verify a specific statement from the piece, pre-fill it:
<script src="https://satcove.com/embed.js"
data-tool="fact-checker"
data-prefill="The 2024 EU AI Act bans facial recognition in all public spaces">
</script>Readers see the claim already loaded — they just click "Verify" to see the consensus. Great for journalism, opinion pieces, and political fact-checking.
By default the embed auto-detects the host site's dark/light theme. Force one:
<script src="https://satcove.com/embed.js"
data-tool="fact-checker"
data-theme="dark"></script>Other attributes: data-height (initial pixel height before content loads, defaults to 420), data-tool="image-detector" (image authenticity verification — coming soon).
Is the embed really free for my readers?
Yes. Each visitor to your site gets 3 free fact-checks per day (rate-limited by their IP). Satcove pays the underlying AI API costs — you pay nothing, your readers pay nothing.
What is the catch?
There is none. The embed displays a 'Powered by Satcove' attribution line. Visitors who hit the daily limit see a soft upsell to Satcove Pro — that's our revenue model. The vast majority of your readers will use it freely.
Will the embed slow down my page?
No. The script is ~3KB, async-loaded, and the iframe content is lazy-loaded. Lighthouse impact is negligible.
Can I customize the appearance?
Three attributes: data-tool (fact-checker | image-detector), data-prefill (starting claim), data-theme (auto | light | dark). The widget auto-adapts to dark mode by default.
Where does the data go?
When a reader submits a query, it routes through Satcove's anonymous ghost-check endpoint. No user identification, no email collection. Queries are not stored beyond the rate-limit window. See the Privacy policy for details.
Can I embed it in a newsletter or email?
Email clients strip JavaScript, so the live embed will not render. Use the linked-image fallback: the script generates a static preview image with a 'Verify on Satcove' link when iframe rendering is unavailable. Contact us if you need a custom flow.
Is there an attribution requirement?
Yes. The 'Powered by Satcove' link is required and cannot be removed without an Enterprise white-label agreement. The link is small, unobtrusive, and links to satcove.com.
What if my readers abuse the embed?
Rate limit per visitor IP (3 queries/day) handles 99% of abuse cases automatically. If a malicious actor circumvents it, we can disable the embed on specific domains. Most sites never hit this issue.
Can I track usage analytics?
Aggregate counts (impressions, clicks, queries) per domain are available via a free dashboard for embed users with a Satcove account. Contact us for the dashboard access.
