Pre-send checklist

AI Proposal Writing: What to Check Before You Send It

AI is good at turning notes into a proposal that reads well. That is also the risk: a wrong price, an invented reference or a contradictory scope reads just as well as a correct one. Here is a short review routine for any AI-drafted proposal.

The 8-point check

  • Every number matches your own price list or quote, not what the AI remembered.
  • Every client name, case study and result can be traced to something real.
  • Scope, deliverables and exclusions say the same thing in every section.
  • Dates and durations are possible given your real capacity.
  • Claims about laws, standards or certifications are checked at the source.
  • Nothing promises more than your contract terms allow.
  • The tone and the facts match what the client actually asked for in the brief.
  • A named person has read the whole thing, start to finish.

Where cross-checking with several models helps

Paste a risky paragraph or section (about 2,000 characters on the free plan), such as a compliance claim, a market statistic or a technical commitment, and ask it to 6 models at once. If they give the same answer, move on to the source check. If one invents a detail the others do not support, you have found the sentence to rewrite or delete.

This is triage, not proof. It tells you which sentences deserve your time. It does not replace checking prices, scope and legal terms yourself.

A prompt you can reuse

Review this proposal paragraph for a client.
List: (1) any factual claim that could be wrong, (2) any number that needs a source, (3) anything that contradicts the rest of the proposal, (4) promises we may not be able to keep.
Do not rewrite it. Only list issues.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use AI to write a client proposal?

Yes, many people do. Treat the output as a draft. AI can write fluent text around wrong numbers, invented case studies or promises you cannot keep, so every claim needs a human check before it reaches the client.

Does Satcove generate proposals?

No. Satcove does not write the proposal. It takes a paragraph or a claim and runs it through 6 AI models so you see where they disagree, which is where to look first. Length is capped by plan: about 2,000 characters on Free (roughly one page), 6,000 on Starter, 16,000 on Pro and 32,000 on Pro Max, so a full proposal needs a paid plan or a section-by-section check.

What do AI-drafted proposals most often get wrong?

Figures and dates that do not match your own pricing, references to clients or results that never existed, scope that quietly contradicts a later section, and confident claims about regulations or standards that you have not checked.

If all 6 models agree, is the proposal safe to send?

Not automatically. Agreement lowers the odds of a one-off invention but models can share the same gap. Prices, scope and legal terms always get checked against your own sources.
